Verifying your business
A workspace set up with a personal address (such as Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook.com or Hotmail) opens unverified, so that nobody can use a real company's name or registration number without showing it is theirs. A workspace set up with a company email address is verified from the start and none of this applies.
What waits until your business is verified. People Search, adding contacts from the HuntSales database (from People Search results, Add all to list, Account Map, Suggested Audiences, the Copilot or MCP), All companies search under Discover, enriching imported rows from the database, Find decision-maker on a watchlist, Find people in a company list, Copilot enrichment, adding teammates, creating API keys, MCP and the REST API, and sending more than 20 emails a Singapore day. Until then your workspace sends at most 20 emails a day in all, campaign and one-off emails together, from your own connected Gmail, Microsoft 365 or SMTP mailbox, with open and click tracking off; a campaign email above the day's limit waits for the next day, and a one-off email above it is refused with a link to the verify page. An email that surely failed to send does not use up the day's allowance; one your mailbox did not confirm does, because it may have gone. Everything else works as on the Free plan, including your contacts, imports, the pipeline, Tasks, the Copilot and AI credits. Finding an email address for a contact already in your workspace (Find email on a contact or an ICP match, and Find contact details) is not held either. An "Unverified" banner in the app says: "Verify your business to search the HuntSales database, use the API, add teammates and send more than 20 emails a day." A held action says "Verify your business to ..." with a "Verify your business" link to the verify page.
Needs review. When we could not confirm your company (its UEN is not Live in our copy of the company register, which can be several weeks behind, or it is registered outside Singapore), the workspace opens on the verify page instead of the app, and sends no email, until your company email or a business document we approve verifies it. A paid plan does not verify a workspace that needs review.
How to verify (any one of these, on the verify page at /verify-business): 1. Upgrade to a paid plan (an unverified workspace only). Your workspace is verified once the first invoice is paid. A full refund of the plan, a card dispute or cancelling back to the Free plan makes it unverified again, unless your company email or an approved document also verifies it. Until a company email is confirmed on the verify page, a Super Admin adds teammates by email invitation only, not with a password, and the verify page offers the company email step for that. 2. Add your company email. A Super Admin enters an address at your company's own domain and we email it a link. Open the link while signed in to your workspace and press Confirm: your business is verified, and your sign-in stays as it is. The link works once, for 24 hours. A personal, school, government, disposable or forwarding address does not count, and a company domain another HuntSales workspace already uses is refused: ask one of its admins to invite you instead. 3. Upload a business document. A Super Admin uploads the ACRA business profile (BizFile) or, outside Singapore, the certificate of incorporation or equivalent: PNG, JPG, WebP or PDF, up to 4 MB. We check that the document names the uploader, or the account owner you named at sign-up, as an officer or owner, and email you when it is decided. If you named someone else as the account owner, the verify page says so: upload a document that names you or them (the BizFile lists the officers), and once it is approved we invite them as Super Admin. If we cannot verify it, the verify page shows why and you can upload another.
Inviting the owner or a co-admin at sign-up. When your workspace opens unverified or needs review, the owner or co-admin you named at sign-up is invited once your business is verified, not before.
Your UEN while unverified. The UEN or registration number you gave is held as a claim, not reserved: it never stops the real company from signing up. Once your workspace is verified it becomes yours, unless a verified workspace already holds it; then we review who it belongs to. A verified workspace always takes precedence over an unverified claim.
