Why a mailbox is paused
Sometimes the email service a mailbox sends through refuses to send a message: its outgoing spam filter blocked it ("Message blocked"), or the mailbox reached its daily sending limit. That is a refusal of the sender, not of the recipient, so the prospect's address is left as it is. Sending more from that mailbox the same day usually makes things worse, so when a mailbox's email service refuses a second message in the same day, HuntSales pauses sending from that mailbox until the day ends: midnight UTC, which is 8:00 AM in Singapore, the same moment its daily sending allowance resets. Each refused message counts once a day, whether HuntSales sees the refusal while sending or reads the refusal notice back from the mailbox's own inbox, and only for mail sent that same day: a message sent before the last pause ended, or on an earlier day, never counts.
While a mailbox is paused, no campaign sends from it. A campaign that rotates across several mailboxes keeps sending from the others. A campaign whose only mailbox is paused waits and starts again by itself when the pause ends. Emails already waiting for the mailbox stay queued: none are cancelled or failed, and they send after the pause. A message refused at the moment of sending waits and is tried again, without counting as a failed try; if the email service refuses that same message again the same day, that does count as a failed try, and after three it is not sent. A message the email service refused after accepting it shows as Not sent, with the reason, and is not sent again.
Who is told. The person who connected the mailbox and every Super Admin get a notification and an email, once per pause. In Email Setup, Mailboxes, a paused mailbox shows Paused until the time it resumes, in Singapore time, and why.
Resume now. The person who connected the mailbox, or a Super Admin, can press Resume now on it in Email Setup to end the pause early. A paused mailbox cannot send a test email until then. The waiting emails go back in line straight away, and campaigns pick the mailbox again within half an hour. Only do this if you are sure the messages were fine: two more refusals the same day pause it again. To get fewer refusals, warm up new mailboxes, keep daily limits modest, spread sending across several mailboxes, and avoid spam-like wording and link-heavy emails.
