Email templates for campaigns
Email templates hold a subject and body you reuse. Manage them on the Email Templates page at /email-templates (the Copilot can take you there); it needs the Campaigns & Email Setup permission. Create a template with a name, a subject line and a body, and add merge fields. Campaigns and the one-to-one email composer on a contact both fill {{first_name}}, {{contact_name}}, {{company_name}} and {{sender_name}} for each contact. For the contact's job title, use {{job_title}} in a template for a campaign and {{designation}} (the page's Designation button) in one for the composer: for now a campaign sends {{designation}} exactly as typed, and the composer leaves {{job_title}} blank. Do not put {{unsubscribe_url}} in the body, because it is not filled there; every email sent from a campaign or the composer already ends with the unsubscribe footer, which by default names the reply address for unsubscribe requests and has a one-click Unsubscribe link (see "Suppression list and deliverability"). The page previews the email with sample values as you write, and you can search your templates, filter them by category, and edit, duplicate or delete them.
To use one, create a campaign and pick it under Email Template (or press Browse to look through them): the campaign's first step starts with that template's subject and body, which you can then edit. The one-to-one email composer on a contact can load a template too, and save the email you wrote as a new one.
