Duplicates: find and merge repeated records

Duplicates, in the Admin section of the sidebar, finds records that repeat and merges them. It needs the Merge Duplicates permission.

The Contacts tab groups contacts that share an email address or a phone number. Each group suggests a master, the contact with the most logged calls (or the oldest when that is equal), and you can choose a different one. Tick the groups you want and merge them: each duplicate's logged calls move to the master, then the duplicates are deleted.

The Companies tab groups companies with the same normalised name. Pick the master company and merge: the duplicates' contacts and deals move to it, then the duplicate companies are deleted.

Merging cannot be undone, so check each group before you confirm. Imports already skip duplicates by email address and normalised company name, so this page mostly catches records that were typed in by hand or came in before that check.
