Our shared contact database
HuntSales keeps a shared contact database. It is built from public business records, licensed business data, and the people customers find through HuntSales search. It is what Suggested Audiences, "Email on file" in People Search, the emails that come with Add all to list, and adding prospects with the Copilot or MCP draw on.
What goes in. When anyone in a workspace finds a person through People Search, Add all to list or Account Map, that person's business contact details go into the shared database, together with any work email a lookup finds for someone added from those results. This applies to everything found from 8 October 2026. There is no setting for it: the rule is set out in our Terms (Section 7) and Privacy Policy.
What stays private. Contacts you import from a CSV file, type in by hand or bring in through an integration never go into the shared database, and neither do people who contacted you (for example through a form on your website or by email). Your lists, campaigns, notes and call logs stay private to your workspace too.
What it means for you. Anyone in any workspace can find the people in the shared database and add them at the usual price: 2 People Search credits for a person added with an email, nothing for one without. That includes people your team found, and in the same way your team gets what other workspaces found: "Email on file" in People Search means we already hold a work email for that person.
Removal. Anyone whose details are in the shared database can ask us to remove them by emailing hello@huntsales.io. See "People who asked not to be in our data".
